Oregon taxpayers get relief too


Oregon Department of Revenue has announced the automatic extension of 2019 tax returns and payments that had an original due date of April 15, 2020, are now due on July, 15, 2020, following the federal extension.



What is included?

  • Personal income tax, Form 40 series and payments

  • Fiduciary Form 41 and payments

  • Transit self-employment tax, Form OR-TM and OR-LTD and payments


What is not included?

  • Estimated tax payments for 2020 are not extended. First quarter estimated payments are still due on April 15, 2020.

  • Partnership tax returns and payments using a calendar year had a due date of March 16, 2020, and are not automatically extended.

  • S-corporation returns and payments that are due on April 15, 2020 are not extended

  • Payroll taxes due on April 15, 2020, are not extended and must still be paid on time to avoid penalty and interest charges.


Portland and Multnomah County taxes extended


Portland business license tax and Multnomah County Business Income tax (including Heavy Vehicle tax and Residential Rental program fees) for the 2019 tax year have been extended from April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020.


Portland Arts Tax for 2019 has also been extended to July 15, 2020.


Estimated Portland/Multnomah County payments for 2020 are not extended. The first quarter payment is still due on April 15, 2020.


Transient lodging taxes have not been extended.
