Filing Options regarding COVID-19

Updated April 19, 2020

We are in an unprecedented situation, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this now extended tax season. We are making every accommodation to respect social distancing and ensure the safety and health of our staff and our clients. We will continue to update our website and our Facebook page if anything should change to our office procedures. You can check out our Blog for more detailed information as it is released.

WE ARE WORKING FROM HOME

Eric & Michelle in their home office

The 2019 tax filing deadline has been automatically extended to July 15, 2020, so we all have extra time to put our health and the health of our community first. Even though we are not in the office at this time, we are working as usual from our home office and answering the phones during regular business hours.

There are several methods that we can use to exchange documents. Please choose the option best for you. If you have any questions, please call us at 503-289-4500.

If you need to pick up your competed return, please call us for options.

Digital upload

If you are able to provide your tax documents digitally, we have a client portal that all existing clients can have access to. This can all be done through SmartVault. Please let us know once you have done this so we can pull your information and begin working on your tax return. SmartVault does not tell us when you have completed uploading documents.

If you need access to your portal, please complete the contact form below to request access.

If you are a new client to our office, there are a few extra steps necessary to provide access to our client portal. Please complete the contact form below to request an upload link to send documents through our secure online server. Once you request the access, we will send you an email with a link to upload documents. After we are able to get your information into our database, we will send you an invitation to SmartVault where your completed tax returns will be uploaded.

Mail-in

For those who may not have access to scan documents, you can mail your tax documents to our home office:

Reliable Income Tax, 9710 SW New Forest Dr, Beaverton, OR 97008

When we receive your information, we will call you to go over any questions that you may have. Please include your current phone number with your information. Please do not send receipts or bank statements -- only essential tax documents, worksheets, and notes.

Drop-off

You may drop off your tax documents in a sealed envelope through the mail slot in the front door of the Greeley office. Please be sure to only drop off relevant tax documents, worksheets, and notes. Please do not send receipts or bank statements. Be sure include your phone number, email address, and a copy of your ID. We will call you to go over any questions the same way we would if you were in our office. The intake questionnaire and engagement letter is required for all clients, and can be downloaded by clicking the following links: Intake Questionnaire  Engagement Letter

New clients must also complete the General Information worksheet.   For more worksheets, please visit our Resources page.

Extensions

If you are unable to work through any of the above options, or if you would like to file an extension, we can file those electronically for you. At this time, extensions are not necessary to be filed if you are able to file and pay your 2019 taxes prior to July 15, 2020. If you would like to extend beyond July 15 to the October 15 extension deadline, you will still need an extension filed, but the tax will need to be paid by July 15, 2020. Complete the form below to request an extension.

CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES

We have compiled a list of helpful resources for you to find answers to questions regarding the Federal programs developed to help individuals, families, and small businesses during the Coronavirus pandemic. There is a lot of information out there, and it often changes daily. It is critical to find answers directly at the source instead of solely relying on news and social media.
